Quake is considered a classic and rightfully so. It’s only disappointing to know the series would become very inconsistent with sequels that share no real relation to the original game other than the Quake name.
Doom 3 is a great game, just not a great Doom game. The changes made in the BFG Edition may be a positive or negative, depending on your preference.
If you’re looking for a tactical shooter stay away but if you are looking for a fun cover shooter, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 should scratch that itch.
Painkiller: Hell & Damnation is a fun ride if you obtain all of the DLC. The base game alone is still fun but also a very condensed version of the original Painkiller.
Only through memorization and dedication can one truly survive the punishment that is Contra: Hard Corps, one of the best games in the Contra series.
An underrated title, SWAT: Global Strike Team is a fun game with plenty of replay value and excellent audio design.
Rainbow Six: Vegas is good on it’s own merits but does not represent what the series is known for. It’s a cover based shooter with lite tactical mechanics. No real thinking required.
The only thing this Battlefront reboot was able to nail down was the presentation. Everything else about it sucks.
Star Wars: Battlefront II is a sequel that includes more content, more variety, and even improves several aspects established in the first game. It’s a must-play for any Star Wars fans.
Star Wars: Battlefront is an excellent entry in the Star Wars series of video games even if it is a bit repetitive. It’s dated by today’s standards but still great fun.
