Flying through space
In between recordings and editing I’ve been trying to play through the various shmups I have. I find them somewhat relaxing given how brutally difficult the genre can be. Any game I beat or record, I normally write up the review afterward so if I can beat any of these shmups, expect a review.
Resogun Review
Resogun is a visual spectacle and an addicting shooter. It’s also one of the greatest launch titles I’ve ever played. Even with a short arcade mode, it has plenty of content to keep you busy.
Thunder Force III (Sega Genesis) Review
Thunder Force III is one of the best games for players who are new to the genre or want to get into it. It won’t kick your ass after five minutes of playing and there’s plenty of diversity in the stages and weapons to keep you interested.

DARIUSBURST Chronicle Saviours sets a new standard for the shoot-em-up genre. If you don’t like the genre, this game won’t change your mind but for fans, DARIUSBURST delivers on content, action, and fun, even if it is a tad repetitive.

Dead Rising 3 is a fun open world game with zombies. There’s always something to do, things to see, and things to find. Although the gameplay can be addicting it can become repetitive over time and it does nothing to stand out from the pack.

Gaming Pastime has acquired an XBOX One. Most games this gen we play on PS4 and sometimes PC but this should be the start of some XBOX One game reviews and playthroughs.
Is Super Mario Maker missing elements crucial to level design?
The upcoming Super Mario Maker will allow players to design their very own Mario levels. The previews have been impressive so far but we’ve noticed some missing elements that seem questionable. Have they just not been shown? Are they not in the game? Can some of these elements be added via DLC?
Recording several games
We’re currently recording and editing several videos. We may take a break from Dark Souls. That game will take us a while anyway. We have started recording some other “GP sucks at” games to fill the void. We do plan to return to Dark Souls.
