Wolfenstein: The New Order is an amazing shooter that does the series the justice with a great story, amazing gameplay, and superb voice acting. This installment breathes new life into the Wolfenstein series and is one of the best shooters of this generation.
Resogun is a visual spectacle and an addicting shooter. It’s also one of the greatest launch titles I’ve ever played. Even with a short arcade mode, it has plenty of content to keep you busy.
Thunder Force III is one of the best games for players who are new to the genre or want to get into it. It won’t kick your ass after five minutes of playing and there’s plenty of diversity in the stages and weapons to keep you interested.
DARIUSBURST Chronicle Saviours sets a new standard for the shoot-em-up genre. If you don’t like the genre, this game won’t change your mind but for fans, DARIUSBURST delivers on content, action, and fun, even if it is a tad repetitive.
Dead Rising 3 is a fun open world game with zombies. There’s always something to do, things to see, and things to find. Although the gameplay can be addicting it can become repetitive over time and it does nothing to stand out from the pack.
Splatterhouse (2010) is an extremely violent and gory game overwhelmed with technical issues but it’s still an enjoyable experience.
Call of Juarez: The Cartel tries to be an action-packed shooter straying away from it’s western styled prequels. But it falls flat on almost every front.
Red Faction: Guerrilla is the third installment in the Red Faction franchise. Using the Geo-Mod 2.0 engine, there is a lot of fun to be had destroying the environment but the lack of character development, weak storyline, and repetitive missions hold it back.
